Project 52: Dating my Spouse--9

Celebrating a Birthday

My best friends' birthday was this week and we planned a night out together to celebrate.  We were a party of Eight!  We went to TGI Friday's for a fabulous dinner.  Have you ever had their Crispy Green Bean Fries?  They are awesomely (probably not a word but I am using it anyways) wonderful and one of the main reasons for choosing to eat at Fridays. We also had an amazing dessert....Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie.  Yum, Yum!  As a side note....we have noticed that a lot of the chain restaurants don't have good dessert menu selections anymore...many of them have gone to just having dessert shooters and those aren't very appealing to me but TGI Fridays still has some great options.
Afterward we headed to our place and played cards.  We had the best time...laughing, being crazy, and enjoying each others company.
Great Food, Great Friends, Great Fun!

Project 52: Dating my Spouse--8

Simple Night Out

My original plans for Thursday didn't happen because I was super tired and ready for bed or just vegging.
Friday night we went out to get pizza...just the two of us.  It was good.
Then we went to Menards to price some fencing for our yard and we looked at some other landscaping supplies.  We have been working on our house for a couple of years and this summer we plan to work on the yard.
Since we are both flexible and make last minute plans work...after we were done at Menards we went to my in-laws and played some cards.  We had a great time and it was a good end to the rest of our evening together.

Baby will be here Soon!

Only 2 weeks until my baby's due date.  Time is flying by with baby #2.  I have been working to get things ready for the baby's arrival but it seems like I just don't have as much time or energy as I did when I was pregnant with Zoie.
(Yes that is my second little one back in the beginning of March)
I am getting more and more excited as I pull out all the cute clothes and all the baby paraphernalia. Today I set up the baby swing and got the car seat ready to be used.  For about the last week I have been going through baby clothes and getting them put away.  We have done and been through so much since I last saw those cute little onesies and my little girl is growing up so fast.
I look forward to announcing our new family member's arrival.  I can't wait for all of the wonderful moments there will be with another little princess running around.
I still feel like there is lots to do and hopefully I will get most of it done before our little blessing decides to come.
This is such a wonderful, amazing, awesome time in our lives and worth sharing every moment.

Project 52: Dating My Spouse--7

Stuffing Easter Eggs and First Words
After both having a very busy and long day...we needed some time to just be with each other.
We also needed to get ready for the Easter egg hunt.
I didn't have to buy any eggs because I have collected so many from my mom over the years.  Let me explain...before we had Zoie my mom would fill eggs and hide them in our house when my husband and I weren't home.  We would come home to an Easter egg hunt.  She would put all kinds of things in them...and we always had so much fun competing to find them.
Anyways....we had more than enough stuff to fill eggs and probably too much for one little girl.  Here is the box of filled eggs.
We also had a few bigger items that wouldn't fit in the eggs.  So we filled a bucket.
Once all the preparation for Easter was done we got out the First Words game.
It created lots of laughs and a great time.  It was so crazy to see what the other person would say and sometimes we would guess what the other would say and be right on in our answer.

Overall....Awesome night spent with eachother.

Review: Getting Stains Out

If you are a parent you know all about stains.
My daughter was eating some strawberries just the other day and she decided her KHAKI pants were a napkin.  Red stains all over.
I wasn't sure that I was going to get the stains out.  I didn't have anything handy at the moment to put on them and they sat for a couple of days.  I had recently purchased Oxi Clean Max Force Gel Stick to help get stains out but I had not had the opportunity to use it until today.

I put it on the strawberry stains and let it sit for the recommended time.   Then washed the pants with my other laundry.  The stains came completely out.  I was so impressed and I just had to share about this product.  The instructions even say that you can treat up to 1 week before washing.  I believe this is an awesome product and I will definitely continue to use it and purchase more.
There are currently some printable coupons on the Oxi Clean website.

*I was not compensated in any way for this review.  I bought this item and this is my honest opinion after trying the Oxi Clean.
