I have been MIA for a couple of weeks because I had my baby. We are so excited to welcome our daughter Taylor Grace into the world. She joined us on April 20, 2010 at 8:21pm. She weighed 7lb. 4oz. and was 19 inches long (this was a big difference from my first daughter who weighed 9lb. 7oz. and was 22 inches long).
What a blessing she has been to our family. Zoie came in to me the other day and said, “Mommy, she’s my best friend!” (I am sure that I will be reminding her of that when they are older and fighting).
Since I had her I have been reminded of how wonderful a newborn can be and how difficult it is to find time to take a shower. It has been a learning experience to juggle a 2 year old and a newborn but I am getting better at it everyday.
Taylor fits so well into our family and Zoie just loves her to death (literally)…we are constantly in protection mode…making sure that Zoie isn’t helping her too much by shoving her binky in her mouth while she is sleeping or covering her (head to toe) with her blanket.
